Sheldon Drive

Following the client's purchase of the site with outline permission for residential development, Umaa were appointed to work on all work stages from RIBA stage 3 to completion.

The site was previously an NHS owned site (since vacated) comprising approximately 1.17 Ha of land located in Northfield, Birmingham, and was acquired with an outline planning permission for up to 27 dwellings with a mixture of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom houses.

The surrounding area is primarily residential, with the North Worcestershire Golf Club to the North of the Site. Immediate neighbours including residential properties and local NHS services and other health facilities.

Umaa prepared a detailed reserved matters application for 27 units, working within tight site constraints including retained existing trees and a gas main.

Following planning approval and production of the working drawings package, construction works commenced on site in late Summer 2022.
