Three Cocks Lane

The design uses the opportunity to develop a disuse open area of grassland, into a residential development of 34 new build dwellings that will fit cohesively with the character of the surrounding area. The current site Is currently overgrown and is in need of repair. With trees and hedgerows bounding the site, the site is no longer fit for agricultural use.

Illustrative proposals have been produced in relation to the client’s comments. The development is a mixture of 1, 2 and 2.5-storey family homes, following a traditional style and clean minimal detailing, and decorative brickwork to mimic local character of the area.

The site layout plan has been developed with the intention of enhancing the biodiversity of the site, through the retention of existing established trees and planting and to provide a stronger rural edge, with the additional green buffer. Garden spaces and landscaping are also maximised, retaining as much natural soft surfaces as possible, where 40.5% of the site will be a range of landscaped and planting areas.
